A good way to test whether your business shirt sleeve is the correct length is to let your arm hang by your side with your business shirts unbuttoned, the sleeve should come down just before the centre of the back of your hand or midpoint between the base of your thumb and top knuckle. When the cuff is buttoned it will stop the cuff from sliding down onto the hand and also giving room for bending and lifting of your arm.

The length your jacket sleeve should end approximately 5 mm (1/4″) to 20 mm (3/4″) before the business shirt cuff.
